Jim Thomas
Vice President and General Manager

Jim Thomas is the vice president and general manager for the South Florida operations of Peak 10. Mr. Thomas brings more than 25 years of technology, operations, support and sales management experience and is well known in the South Florida business community. He is responsible for the fiscal well being and day-to-day management of the Ft. Lauderdale-based data center including operations, engineering, sales and business development.

Mr. Thomas has worked as a consultant for some of the biggest names in the telecommunications industry, including IBM, Siemens, and Motorola. After moving to Florida in 1990 to work for IBM as a telecommunications consultant, he observed the need for business continuity products in South Florida. In 2003, Mr. Thomas founded 1Vault Networks as a business continuity and disaster recovery center to ensure that businesses in South Florida continue to operate in the face of adverse weather conditions. After years of successful growth, 1Vault was acquired by Peak 10 in late 2009.

Mr. Thomas is active in the community and participates in a wide variety of organizations including the Broward County Chamber of Commerce, the Palm Beach Business Development Board, and the FAU technology council. Mr. Thomas also holds a position on the Board of Directors of the Broward Alliance.
