Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute
CHARLOTTE, NC (April 23, 2015) – Peak 10, Inc., a national IT infrastructure and cloud services provider, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Niche quadrant of the 2015 “Disaster Recovery as a Service Magic Quadrant, North America.”[i]
Gartner defines Disaster Recovery as a Service as the scenario when the service provider manages virtual machine (VM) replication and, optionally, physical machine (PM) replication from the production data center into the cloud, VM/PM activation inside the cloud and recovery exercising within the cloud.
In the Magic Quadrant for this market sector, Gartner analysts evaluated 14 service providers offering Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), based on the criteria of ‘ability to execute’ and ‘completeness of vision.’
Peak 10 offers the Recovery Cloud, a cost-effective, highly flexible DRaaS solution that ensures rapid recovery of mission-critical applications and data. Built on leading-edge technologies and combined with Peak 10’s expertise in cloud technologies and disaster recovery, it enables customers to take advantage of the reduced costs associated with multi-tenancy while accessing the cloud resources to restore services in the event of a site failure quickly, securely and regardless of where their production environment is housed.
“This is Gartner’s first time publishing a Disaster Recovery as a Service Magic Quadrant which is an indication of how new this technology concept is,” said Ronnie Frames, vice president of network and cloud infrastructure for Peak 10. “We believe our positioning in the Niche quadrant by Gartner confirms the strength of our overall business strategy and vision for our growing DRaaS offering and our extensive experience in this field.”
Peak 10 was the first provider in the Americas to achieve the Cisco Powered Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) designation under the Cisco® Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification.
