Last year, the buzz at Cisco Live was all about the Intercloud Fabric, a Cisco software solution that allows organizations to easily combine and move workloads across different public or private clouds as needed while maintaining associated network and security policies. Cisco called the Intercloud a “seamless fabric between the world of many clouds.”
At that time, Peak 10 was the first in the Americas to achieve Cisco Powered Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) designation under the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification. Now, Peak 10 is one of 60 companies in the Cisco Intercloud Partner Ecosystem, which spans more than 350 data centers across 50 countries. General availability of the full Intercloud Fabric solution is expected in Q4 of 2015.
As an alternative to commodity-based application development, enterprises seek the ability to develop applications in a secure, compliant environment, which enables seamless conversion from a test environment into an enterprise-class production environment in a Cisco Powered hybrid cloud. Peak 10 provides the Intercloud Fabric connectivity with robust development toolsets and SLAs to enable reliable and secure environments that meet enterprise requirements for scalability, reliability and governance.
Peak 10, which received the 2015 Cisco Provider Partner of the Year and the Data Center Cloud Partner of the Year awards for the U.S., is headed back to Cisco Live for the June 7-11 conference in San Diego. The Peak 10 team will participate in a variety of activities and demos during the show, including several related to the Intercloud Fabric. Be sure to check them out at Booth 1233. We invite attendees to stop by and engage with our on-site Solution Engineers and experts.
The following are a few things Peak 10 will have going on at Cisco Live:
Demonstration of the Intercloud Fabric
Peak 10 will demonstrate the Intercloud Fabric alongside Cisco on June 9 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Cisco Powered Booth in the Cisco Campus portion of the World of Solutions. The demo, entitled “Enterprise-class Application Development with Peak 10’s Cisco Powered Hybrid Cloud in Next-Generation Data Centers,” will showcase the Intercloud as an alternative to commodity-based application development.
Presentation: Are Hybrid IT Solutions in Your Future?
Peak 10 will also deliver a presentation entitled, “Are Hybrid IT Solutions in Your Future?” on June 9 at 12:15 p.m. in the Cisco Theater East. The presentation will cover when and why to consider hybrid IT solutions. It will also define Peak 10’s approach to hybrid IT and each of its potential components; strategies of how to get started; and real-world use cases including the Intercloud Fabric.
Cisco Powered Demo
In addition, Peak 10 will be available for demos in the Cloud Booth on the Cisco Campus Thursday, June 11 from 9:30 a.m. until noon. It will offer featured partner content on “What Cloud Solutions Can You Sell Today?” Cisco Powered services are an essential part of facilitating the world’s largest global Intercloud. Built together with key strategic partners and service providers, the Intercloud offers customers the widest choice of cloud facilitating optimum workload placement wherever needed.
