Acquisition Sets Stage for Growth, Innovation, Continuing Success

Peak 10 has a new partner in powering its continuing success and the success of our customers.

GI Partners, based in Menlo Park, Calif., is buying Peak 10 from New York-based private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, our partner since 2010. GI Partners is buying the company not only for who we are, but to achieve the potential and realize the vision we share for this company in coming years.

This is a pivotal time in the IT infrastructure space. This industry continues to experience dynamic change with cloud, mobility, social media and Big Data seeding innovation and new ways of getting business done.

GI Partners is no stranger in this realm. Its deep experience in value creation within our sector aligns with our aggressive plans to expand geographically and deliver new capabilities to the marketplace for companies who need a partner like Peak 10. We stand to gain strong momentum from the history of technology investments they’ve made including Digital Realty Trust (NYSE: DLR), The Telx Group, and SoftLayer Technologies.

Together, we have the depth of resources and experience to drive much bigger achievements, expand in new directions, sustain new growth and leverage our partner program. From the strong foundation we built over the last 14 years with highly supportive private equity firms; Seaport Capital in 2001 and further with Welsh Carson in 2010, we will write the next new chapter in our growth story with GI.

Mergers and acquisitions in our business can be cause for customer alarm. Not so in this case. What customers can expect to see is stepped-up implementation of services automation, as well as continued geographic expansion and new services. Automation drives cost and operational efficiencies, responsiveness and customer control. It also will let us focus more attention on customer requirements and satisfaction.

The promise that this acquisition represents for the company, the management team and current and future customers is empowering. Having the support and resources to realize one’s vision, while also having so much fun working with terrific people, is beyond gratifying.

Thank you for being a part of it all.
