Peak 10 opens new data center, creates 20 jobs in Norcross, GA

Norcross, Ga. (November 13, 2007) – Peak 10, Inc., a leading independent data center operator and managed services provider, opened the doors to a new data center facility today in Norcross.  This move by the data center technology leader represents more than 20 new jobs and $20 million in capital investment over the next five years for Gwinnett. It also means another success for Partnership Gwinnett, the community’s long-term, public-private economic development initiative, led by the Gwinnett Chamber, that targets information technology companies like Peak 10, Inc.

“The addition of Peak 10 to the community is a great resource for both existing and future businesses in Gwinnett,” said Chip Mitchell, Business Development Manager for Economic Development with Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. “Their business model complements our existing base of data center services. We’re glad that Peak 10 has chosen Gwinnett for their expansion into the greater Atlanta region.”

Gwinnett County Commission Chairman, Charles Bannister, also shared his enthusiasm. "With Peak 10, Partnership Gwinnett is bringing in a company from a targeted industry (information technology) and that is good news for everyone in Gwinnett County," said Chairman Bannister. "As Partnership Gwinnett's largest financial supporter, the Board of Commissioners is pleased with this latest success and I wish to extend a warm welcome to Peak 10 and its employees."

Peak 10, Inc. combines its network of secure, high-tech data centers and portfolio of managed services with localized engineering and support to serve market-leading companies nationwide. The new data center will provide managed collocation, enterprise hosting, high performance bandwidth and a wide range of managed services including disaster recovery, storage, monitoring and management, security and data protection, while revitalizing and occupying an existing communications building in Norcross.

“Our data center services and solutions improve reliability and uptime, increase revenue growth, lower costs, and maximize internal resources for customers while keeping their valuable information technology assets close to the business,” said Matt Searfoss, Vice President and General Manager of Peak 10 Atlanta.  ”We are excited to serve the Gwinnett business community with our new facilities and leading technology.”
