The Company Invests Significant Capital for Power Infrastructure and Security Enhancements to its Fort Lauderdale Facility
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 28, 2010) – Peak 10 Inc., a managed services company with world-class data centers, is proud to announce veteran technology executive, Stefan Pittinger, as the new vice president and general manager of its South Florida operations. Jim Thomas, the former vice president and general manager, was promoted to the corporate position of vice president of systems integration.
“I am looking forward to working with the South Florida team to help Peak 10 continue steady growth and foster long-term relationships with its current and future customers,” said Pittinger. “I am an advocate for the type of organizational accountability, cultural diversity and motivational leadership that has made Peak 10 highly successful in the industry and extremely revered by its clients. It will also be a pleasure to work in a state of-the-art facility that is able to offer its customers optimal technologies and performance.”
Pittinger brings an almost 20-year track record of success in the IT industry to his role of vice president and general manager of Peak 10 South Florida. He will be responsible for the fiscal well-being and day-to-day management of the South Florida facility in Fort Lauderdale, which is currently undergoing upgrades to its existing power infrastructure and overall security. Pittinger was formerly the area vice president of Verizon Business and has been recognized for maintaining strong customer relationships and driving growth. In addition to his demonstrated leadership skills, Pittinger possesses strong operations, sales and marketing experience.
Thomas has a background of systems analysis and implementation and has worked in that capacity with 1Vault Networks, Motorola, Siemens and IBM. “Jim is an industry veteran and echoes the core values of Peak 10’s business. Between this talent and the facility enhancements, Peak 10 South Florida has a number of assets that will continue to grow its presence in the market,” said Allen Skipper, senior vice president of market operations for Peak 10. His proven leadership skills will be a tremendous asset to our ten markets, clients and partners. This management transition and internal promotion is a fundamental element of our corporate growth strategy and adds strength to our leadership team.”
Thomas will be taking a long-range view of the company’s growth strategies and platforms in order to determine how best to integrate and improve Peak 10’s current assets, as well as make recommendations as to what tools and systems will enhance the company’s ability to grow and scale. Additionally, he will implement processes for further streamlining the provisioning of Peak 10’s managed services, which attribute to a growing percentage of the company’s revenues.
“I am excited to move into this new position and look forward to providing strategic planning for Peak 10’s operational systems, software and integrated processes,” said Thomas. “We have a very talented management team and I am anxious to contribute at the corporate level to assure that our information systems continue to scale with our growth in a responsive and strategic manner.”
Peak 10 South Florida’s power infrastructure upgrades will allow the facility to offer optimal performance and added capacity. The current uninterruptible power sources (UPS) are in the process of being upgraded with four new GE UPS modules. This will allow the facility to obtain greater efficiency at conditioning power. Additionally, it will add capacity and standardize this facility with the rest of the Peak 10 data centers. The facility’s Card Access Control System is being outfitted with Biometric Security devices at the data center entrances, and pin code authentication is being added to the badge readers. Peak 10 is also upgrading the DVR systems with increased video storage to permit automatic event-based, off-site archival of access control video.
