Peak 10 Invests Capital, Adds Second Atlanta Data Center
Leading Managed Services Company Expands to Accommodate
Growth ATLANTA (January 8, 2010) – Peak 10 Inc., a managed
services company with world-class data centers, today announced the addition of
a second enterprise-class facility on its Atlanta campus. The completion of the
10,000 square foot facility will bring Atlanta’s total footprint to more than
33,000 square feet. This expansion comes on the heels of Peak 10’s recent $95
million credit facility expansion led by RBC Capital Markets. “Our
facility expansion is a direct result of our steady growth and success in the
greater Atlanta region since opening in 2008, and will allow us meet the current
and future demand for our customized IT services,” said Matt Searfoss, the vice
president and general manager of Peak 10 Atlanta. “The second Atlanta data
center brings cutting-edge facility technologies into play, including
engineering designs that take advantage of energy efficiencies available to us.
As we continue to invest in our infrastructure, our valued customers can enjoy
the most current state-of-the-art facilities while receiving the expertise and
attention they have come to expect from our dedicated team.” Like
all Peak 10 facilities which meet enterprise-class standards, the new Atlanta
data center is engineered with multiple levels of security, uninterruptible
power, cooling systems, fire suppression and around-the-clock monitoring and
management. It is SAS70 Type II compliant and interconnected with Peak 10’s
private network, which provides customers the advantage of highly available
Internet access and the ability to leverage data centers in nine other markets
in implementing disaster recovery solutions. “The response from SME
businesses in the market continues to be positive, which is one of the reasons
we found expansion in this area so critical,” said David Jones, the president
and CEO of Peak 10. “Our recent expanded credit facility positions Peak 10 to
meet customers’ growth and technical service needs for the future. We are
excited to be investing capital in our new Atlanta facility, as well as our
managed services infrastructure and virtualization platform.” To
ensure an unparalleled level of stability and facility integrity, the new
Atlanta facility will undergo a formal commissioning process prior to customer
installations. Leveraging an industry leading facilities engineering and IT
consulting firm, Peak 10’s data center commissioning is a structured process
which establishes the capability and reliability of mission critical
infrastructure. The process includes multiple and repeatable test cycles using
equipment that simulates how the data center operates at various load levels and
failover conditions. “We continue to invest capital to enhance our
footprint and service delivery capabilities in existing markets, such as
Atlanta, through strategic expansions due to high customer demand,” said Jeff
Spalding, the executive vice president of market operations for Peak 10. “As a
result, we continue to expand our scale without diminishing our core value
proposition – strong local market leadership and customer
service.” Peak 10 Atlanta’s managed IT and data center services
