Peak 10 Louisville Leadership
Dave Vrona is the vice president and general manager for the Louisville operations of Peak 10, the leading independent data center operator and managed services provider. Vrona is responsible for the fiscal well being and day to day management of the Louisville data centers including operations, engineering, sales and business development. In 1993, Mr. Vrona co-founded WorldWide Access, one of Chicago's first Internet service providers. As president, Mr. Vrona built a highly succesful company that provided dedicated Internet access and hosting services to the Chicagoland business community. In 1998, WorldWide Access was acquired by Verio Incorporated and Mr. Vrona served as the general manager of Verio's Chicago operation. In the early days of the Internet boom, Mr. Vrona frequently appeared on local television and radio programs to talk about Internet technologies. He also could be heard on Hemispheres, United Airlines' in-flight radio program. More recently, Mr. Vrona was involved in the startup of GAMA.com, The Global Arbitration Mediation Association. As a principal of the company, Mr. Vrona oversaw all IT operations in addition to contributing to the sales and business development efforts. Mr. Vrona received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He also did post-graduate studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Mr. Vrona holds three United States patents.
Steve Staten brings more than 14 years of information technology experience to Peak 10 Louisville. He consults the sales team by identifying how Peak 10’s offerings can best enhance a client’s IT infrastructure. Prior to Peak 10, Staten was the engineering and help desk manager for Vobix Corporation. He brings his diverse understanding of technology from his consulting and training years as an MCSE and MCT with KiZAN while working with several regional companies like LG&E, Toyota, Norton Healthcare and Kentucky State Government. Mr. Staten also has consulted with the Navy while with DynCorp. He grew the nationally known Centerbrook Architects in Connecticut from a peer-to-peer Macintosh house to a multiplatform client-server configuration. Prior to switching to information technology, Staten utilized his Professional Engineering License to design and construct buildings while with Besier Gibble Norden Structural Engineers in Connecticut and Messer Construction Company in Ohio. He studied for his Masters in Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Civil Engineering.
